Rotation of Polarization Angle in Gamma-Ray Burst Prompt Phase

چکیده

Abstract The rotations of the polarization angle (PA) with time (energy) can lead to depolarization time-integrated (energy-integrated) polarization. However, we do not know how and when it will rotate. Here, consider a magnetic reconnection model investigate polarizations, especially PA gamma-ray burst (GRB) prompt emission. For large-scale ordered aligned field configuration, find that within T 50 PAs rotate for slight off-axis observations. Our studies show are due changes in observed image emitting region before being averaged over equal arrival surface unresolved sources. We apply our single-pulse bursts GRB 170101A 170114A time-resolved interpret violent variation 170101A, while could predict two 90° 170114A. A more detailed should be considered.

Theoretical Analysis of Polarization Rotation angle in Dual Reflector Antenna

Because of special structure, a dual reflector antenna has beam rotation capability in azimuth and elevation directions. In this structure, the antenna beam can be placed in any point in the space by mechanical movement of twist reflector which it is the most important ability of the antenna. Due to the antenna structure, if the polarization of incident wave is linear, it is expected that the p...

Statistical Properties of Gamma-ray Burst Polarization

The emission mechanism and the origin and structure of magnetic fields in gamma-ray burst (GRB) jets are among the most important open questions concerning the nature of the central engine of GRBs. In spite of extensive observational efforts, these questions remain to be answered and are difficult or even impossible to infer with the spectral and lightcurve information currently collected. Pola...

Tail Emission of Prompt Gamma-Ray Burst Jets

Tail emission of the prompt gamma-ray burst (GRB) is discussed using a multiple emitting sub-shell (inhomogeneous jet, sub-jets or mini-jets) model, where the whole GRB jet consists of many emitting sub-shells. One may expect that such a jet with angular inhomogeneity should produce spiky tail emission. However, we found that the tail is not spiky but is decaying roughly monotonically. The glob...

Gamma-Ray Burst Prompt Emission: Implications from Shock Acceleration Theory

The principal paradigm for gamma-ray bursts suggest that the prompt transient gamma-ray signal arises from multiple shocks internal to the relativistic expansion. This paper illustrates some properties of diffusive acceleration at relativistic shocks that pertain to GRB models, providing interpretation of the BATSE/EGRET data. Using a standard Monte Carlo simulation, computations of the spectra...

High Energy Emission from the Prompt Gamma-Ray Burst

We study the synchrotron and synchrotron self-Compton (SSC) emission from internal shocks that are responsible for the prompt γ-ray emission in GammaRay Bursts (GRBs), and consider the relation between these two components, taking into account the high energy cutoff due to pair production and Thomson scattering. We find that in order for the peak energy of the synchrotron to be Ep ∼ 300 keV wit...
